Check out the P.D. Wodehouse stories, Wooster and Jeeves, that was made into BBC tv programs. (They are posted on YouTube). Hugh Laurie plays the wastrel Bertie Wooster. Talk about young and adorable. He also played Mr. Little in the Stuart Little movie. I love House because it is so out of the type-casting mode he was in.
Uh huh - if you're a Brit, you'll best know Hugh Laurie as Prince Ludwig in Blackadder II, Prince Regent on Blackadder III and the brilliant Lieutenant The Honourable George Colthurst St. Barleigh in Blackadder Goes Forth (to name but a few)! So much better than House! Friends got him in because he was more famous than Sarah Ferguson and Richard Branson!
You realize that Hugh Laurie was pretty famous WAY BEFORE Friends aired, right?
I've never seen Hugh Laurie look that young.
unfortunately only too true
you wanna see a young Hugh Laurie, watch A bit of Fry and Laurie, an old sketch show with him and Stephen Fry
he was the dad in stuart little. he looked really young then, too
I agree with Daniel. Hugh Laurie's name has always been more well known then ... crap forget her real name right now. Amazing and diverse actor.
How come Rachel is a "bitch"? Why not "Who's that bastard next to Rachel?"
only in the UK really. he didnt become famous in the US until house
I love how too few realize he played in Blackadder way back, and such a different character from house.
He was famous in Britain, not America.
Yeah, but us Brits have known about him for decades.
Definitely photoshopped.
Most people did not. Only us cool kids. The people that cast House did not even know he was British.
whoaaaaaa!

In that case I suggest you watch a little show called Blackadder, notably the third and fourth seasons
You should watch "A bit of Fry and Laurie"
or Stuart Little, he's very young in that one.
Hugh Laurie was far more famous, but in the right circles. Blackadder anyone?
Truth, watch A Bit of Fry and Laurie, pretty hilarious...
Aww, it's Hugh Laurie when he still looked like his character(s) in Black Adder. ^_^
Yep, he was in Blackadder years before that.
I take it not many people in the US are familiar with Black Adder.
lol, seriously this is one of my all time favorite moments from friends. if you have a chance check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNd7dAFnq8c
U should have seen him on the Black Adder series.
I'm guessing your not British he was in loads of comedy shows in his 20s like Blackadder, a bit of Fry and Luarie
A bit of Fry and Laurie, Blackadder II, Blackadder the Third, Blackadder goes Forth, Jeeves and Wooster... etc.

don't get you panties in a twist gentlemen. it's a joke and you don't have to be a twit about who the hell is more famous.
Jeeves and Wooster was on ITV, not BBC.
... I'm still waiting on Stephen Fry to appear in a reboot of Gilligan's Island (playing Roy Hinkley, of course)....
